Ramadan has its special atmosphere everywhere, and Aspire is no difference. For the 7th year in a row, “Ramadan Sports Festival” is running at Aspire Zone’s various venues from Monday, 21 May, until Saturday, 2 June, to pull a large number of participants and partners.
The two-week festival features 12 activities in total that range from sports competitions to physical challenges. These trigger the interest of active leisure enthusiasts, whether they are men, women or juniors. All competitions will be held from 9:30pm until midnight. Talks & Lectures: Each night for the first two weeks of Ramadan, MIA will be offering a wide selection of activities for the whole family – from lectures and poetry recitals for adults, to the MIA Bazaar and walk-in craft activities for children and families.
Family Activities & Garangao: Events include making Ramadan-themed crafts such as mosque lamps, moon and stars, listening to storytelling sessions with the library team, special Ramadan tehemed guided tours. There’s something going on every night from 8:30 – 10:30.
Ramadan celebrations at MIA will finish with their Garangao event on Monday, 28 May, 2018. The evening will be full of activities like, storytelling, traditional gift giving - all in the beautiful setting on the MIA.
MIA Bazaar: During Ramadan, MIA Bazaar will open on will open from 7:00pm – Midnight selling foods and handicrafts for all the family from over 100 different stalls.
