According to astronomical calculations by astronomers the holy month of Ramdan will start from Saturday, May 27, 2017.

According to calculations by Qatar Calendar House the new crescent of Ramadan 1438 H will be born on Thursday May 25, 2017 at 7:46 pm universal time (UT) (10:46 pm Doha local time).

The time set of the moon will be before sunset time over Doha sky by 25 minutes, on Thursday 29 Sha'baan 1438 H (May 25, 2017), and the moon will be set before sunset time over the sky of two holy mosques (Makah & Medina) and in all Gulf countries by 20-26 minutes, moreover the moon will be set before sunset time in all countries in Arabic world.

The moon on this night will be impossible to observe by naked eye or by astronomical telescope over Doha sky and in all Arabic countries, a note by Astronomer Expert Dr Beshir Marzouk and Director of Qatar Calendar House Dr Mohammed Al Ansari mentioned.
