Many parts of the country, including Doha are expected to receive rains today, with the country going through unstable weather conditions, according to the Meteorology Department. The sudden change in weather is caused by a trough of low pressure over the Gulf region associated with a cold mass in the upper air, the department said yesterday. The unstable weather is expected to prevail until the end of next week. Rains are expected in the western parts of the country since early morning and in Doha and its outskirts later in the day, a forecaster at the department told this daily last evening. More rains are expected tomorrow and next week, probably with brief intervals. “These are seasonal rains expected during this period of the year,” said the forecaster.
