Rains to bring temperature down

The weather bureau said yesterday there are chances of scattered rains this morning with North-Westerly winds blowing across at average speed and the maximum temperature could be 24 degrees Celsius by noon. It is, thus, expected to be a partly cloudy day today, the bureau said. Those venturing into the sea must check with the bureau about high tide as the seas are expected to be choppy, the bureau said. The temperature is expected to dip to 16 degrees Celsius by tonight while yesterday’s minimum temperature recorded was 17 degrees Celsius. The southern areas of the country witnessed heavy rains yesterday while the rains were light and scattered in other areas, including Doha. International flights landing at and leaving the Doha International Airport were not affected yesterday and are not likely to be affected today as well. Visibility is forecast to be between four and nine kilometers today but there are special equipment installed at the Doha International Airport with whose help flights can land and take off even while visibility is very low or even zero.
