Qatar is expecting scattered rain in the country over the next two days: Saturday and Sunday, according to Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
The rain may become thundery at times and will be accompanied with strong winds, especially in the northern areas of Qatar and offshore.
In a statement by QMD, this is what they reported:
“Another state of atmospheric instability expected to affect the country due to extension of a low pressure system over the region starting from Monday until next weekend.
Weather expected to become partly cloudy to cloudy at times with improved chances of rain extending gradually over most areas of the country ranging in intensity. The rain will be accompanied by strong wind causing blowing dust and low visibility in some areas."
It is important to take extra precautions over the next two days when outside and avoid all kind of marine activities for safety reasons.
On Thursday 14 November 2019, His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani led the Istisqa prayer for rain. The rain prayers were read in many parts of the country as well as in the schools
