Rain and thunder are again expected in the country today along with strong winds, the Qatar Met department has said.

The weather office has also issued a marine warning for thundershowers in some places, windy conditions and high seas by the evening.

A recent Met department report said “unsettled weather conditions” are expected to prevail in the country until tomorrow due to the “passage of an upper-level low-pressure system”.

This would result in scattered rain inshore and offshore, which might become thundery at times.

Yesterday, Doha and other parts of the country received some rain and there are chances of more rainfall today, the weather report shows.

Today’s detailed forecast says wind speed may go up to 30 knots inshore and 28 knots offshore during thundershowers, with the sea level rising to 8’ at times.

Besides cloudy conditions and rain, dusty conditions are also expected in parts of the country today.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Doha is expected to range from 24° to 33° Celsius today. (Source)
