Thundershowers and strong winds are again expected in the country on Friday, the Qatar Met department has said.
Doha is among the places where it may rain, according to the weather office, which has also forecast windy conditions, thundery rain and high seas in offshore areas on Friday.

Northwesterly winds will blow at 8-18 knots inshore, going up to 25 knots in some places during rain and thunder. Offshore, northeasterly-northwesterly winds will blow at a speed of 12-22 knots and may reach a high of 28 knots during thundershowers.

The sea level, meanwhile, may rise to 9ft in some areas.
Recently, the Met department said weather fluctuations – marked by rain, wind and dust - were expected to affect the country over the next few days. In general, the rain intensity is expected to be light to moderate during this period and the chances of showers are expected to improve at the beginning of next week - from Sunday evening.

The detailed forecast for Friday is that there will be slight to blowing dust in some places at times along with cloudy conditions.
There is a chance of scattered rain as well, which may become thundery occasionally. Similar conditions are likely in offshore areas as well.
The Met department also said in its extended forecast for the weekend that there is a “weak chance of light rain” in some places on Saturday night.
Online posts by the weather office showed that scattered light rain had been detected at a number of places in Qatar on Thursday. It was also occasionally windy.

Meanwhile, the Met department informed on Twitter that the “latest satellite image shows dust over northern Gulf, which is being monitored. Slight dust is likely in the coming days due to expected fresh winds”. Also, it observed that the chances of isolated light-moderate rain would continue on Friday and there could be “short-lived thundery cells” in some areas.
A minimum temperature of 20C is expected in Dukhan, Abu Samra and Ruwais on Friday, while in Doha it will be 22C. The maximum, on the other hand, will range from 26C to 30C.
On Thursday, a minimum of 17C was reported in Sheehaniyah and 22C in the Doha airport area. The maximum hovered between 26C and 33C. (Source)
