Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has announced it will organise various religious and social programmes during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
The month-long spiritual festival will have religious lectures delivered by famous Islamic scholars from Qatar and other Arab and Muslim countries as the main programme. The associate programmes will address the issues of the people.
Separate sessions will be held to discuss issues related to youth. Several contexts on mercy will take place for children in which the winners will receive attractive prizes.
The programmes will be held under Bashair Al Rahma (good news of mercy) festival under the slogan of Kun Rahmatan (be kind) in collaboration with Qatar Chamber and QNCC.
The details of the festivities were revealed in a joint press conference at QNCC yesterday. The press conference was attended by Dr Ayed bin Dabssan Al Qahtani, Chairman, Board of Trustees, and General Director, RAF, Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Qatar Chamber Director General and Abdul Aziz Al Emadi, CEO of QNCC.
“Be Kind” slogan has been selected for the upcoming Ramadan festival in a bid to create mercy in the community, said Al Qahtani.
The programmes will suit all family members including men, women, youth and children. Finally, they will feel like being in a model village, he added.
“Qatar Chamber will participate as a strategic sponsor of the festival for social responsibility,” said Al Sharqi.
The festival will include social and cultural programmes. There will be separate programmes for children.
A charity bazaar will also be organised to showcase foods and non-food items, he added. (Source)
