Qtel’s Nojoom members have generously donated points worth thousands of riyals during the holy month of Ramadan, the company said yesterday. As part of the Nojoom programme, members can exchange their Nojoom Points for a range of services and experiences, from nights at the cinema through to tickets with Qatar Airways. To reflect the spirit of the holy month, Qtel made it possible for members to donate Nojoom Points that were converted into direct donations to Qatar Charity. During August, members donated QR 115,000 in Nojoom Points to Qatar Charity, which was established in 1992 to support Qatari society and the needy communities overseas. Funds raised will be used for various charitable activities within Qatar. In response to positive feedback from members, Qtel also announced yesterday that Qatar Charity would remain as a redemption partner with Nojoom, so that members will be able to donate Nojoom Points to Qatar Charity throughout the year. As a special thank you, the elite Al Nokhba members were invited to Suhor, while Nojoom members were able to claim gift vouchers for Iftar and Suhor meals at Ramadan tents across Qatar throughout Ramadan. More than 1,500 people enjoyed the benefits of these programmes. The Nojoom Rewards Programme is free for every Qatar resident who has chosen Qtel as their service provider. Members earn Nojoom Points each time they make a phone call, send an SMS, surf the Internet, use their QNB Qtel Nojoom credit card or shop at Nojoom partners. Gulf Times
