Qtel has launched its new BlackBerry Global Package offering customers access to highly sophisticated mobile communications tools when they are roaming with any Qtel partner. The new package offers a competitive tariff scheme, specifically designed to meet the needs of growing organisations, which will help companies to manage global roaming charges. The tariff will prove attractive to individuals looking to use their BlackBerry when travelling abroad this summer, the company said yesterday. The new tariff provides an unlimited local data bundle and a bundle of 8MB for data roaming usage. Eng Khalid Abdulla Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Business Solutions, Qtel, said: “The BlackBerry Solution is among the most advanced mobile applications available today, and one which is increasingly deployed by some of the world’s most successful companies. Qatar’s businesses increasingly expect world-class enterprise solutions, and, with today’s launch, Qtel is again demonstrating its commitment in this sphere.” “Boosting workplace performance by increasing overall productivity ensures that companies can reap the rewards from a developing economy, and that’s what Qtel’s new BlackBerry Global Package delivers,” added Al Mansouri. Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari — Manager, Wireless Product Management, Qtel, said: “Qtel continuously analyses the needs of our customers and looks to provide the highest level of service and support. This new roaming initiative is part of the ongoing plan to make Qtel’s BlackBerry service the best and most user-friendly in the region.” The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution integrates easily with any existing enterprise systems to extend wireless communication and organisational data applications, including email, to mobile users. The solution is easy-to-use and enjoys advanced security. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=June2009&file=Local_News2009060861114.xml
