Qtel has launched a major loyalty programme- ‘Nojoom’, which aims to reward customers for every riyal spent on the telecom provider’s range of services. Qtel is partnering Qatar Airways and Virgin Megastore among others in what it termed the “most advanced customer benefit initiative” ever undertaken in the region. The three-tier Nojoom programme has been designed “to thank Qtel’s customers” for their engagement with the company, which has served the Qatari market for more than 20 years. It operates by providing points for each Qatari riyal spent on Qtel services and enables customers to spend these points on a wider range of gifts and experiences. Qtel’s Nojoom programme will give customers up to 20 opportunities to accumulate points every day. Customers stand to benefit from the reward programme through a range of communication services – phone, mobile, text, digital television and Internet, provided by Qatar’s premium provider. Premium partners including Qatar Airways and Virgin Megastore will help ensure that the range of rewards provided in return for points, will be extensive and exciting. Every time customers use Qtel services – whether making phone calls, sending SMS, watching Mozaic TV+ or surfing the Internet – they receive Nojoom points. The three tiers of the loyalty programme are ‘Nojoom Blue’, ‘Nojoom Silver’ and ‘Nojoom Gold’. As customers earn more Nojoom points, they move from the entry level - ‘Nojoom Blue’ to the next levels ‘Nojoom Silver’ and ‘Nojoom Gold’. “The higher the membership status of a customer, the more privileges he is entitled to,” Qtel said. Nojoom members will be able to redeem points at the Nojoom website at www.qtel.com.qa and even gift Nojoom points to friends or family members. The process for earning Nojoom Points differs for ‘HALA Pay As You Talk’ (pre-paid) and billed Qtel Services, such as Shahry, Mozaic TV+ or ADSL. Hala customers earn points for their usage of Hala, with points credited to their Nojoom account in the first week of every month. Customers using billed services are credited with “Pending Points” equivalent to the amount on each bill on the billing date of each month, which are then released to their Nojoom account when the bill is settled. Customers can redeem their points, starting from as little as 200 Nojoom points, at the dedicated Nojoom area at www.qtel.com.qa. The site keeps users updated with the latest exciting offers and helps Nojoom members keep track of their total points. More information about Nojoom can be had from Qtel’s stands at Villagio, Landmark and City Centre Malls. Alternatively, they can call 111 or visit www.qtel.com.qa. Launching the customer reward programme, Qtel Group chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani, said: “The Nojoom programme is our gift to the people of Qatar, providing them with a reward every time they receive Qtel services. We have designed the programme to be one of the easiest and most rewarding ongoing initiatives of its kind, delivering a huge range of gifts and experiences. People across Qatar have a very diverse range of interests and hobbies, so we have developed Nojoom to reflect their diversity. “Qtel reviewed almost every reward scheme in the Middle East and interviewed over 1,000 customers to help make Nojoom the strongest reward programme in the region. What we found was that our customers wanted a simple, straightforward scheme that enabled them to get the rewards they most enjoy without having to go through a complex process.” Nojoom enrolment Customers could easily enrol in Nojoom, Qtel’s new reward programme, executive director (Group Communications) Adel al-Mutawa has said. Customers have two options – they can enroll either through service provider’s website – www.qtel.com.qa or through its interactive voice response (IVR) numbers 111 and 114. Those who register online would receive 500 Nojoom points absolutely free, al-Mutawa said. And those who join during the offer period (valid until August 31), will have their membership automatically upgraded to Nojoom silver or gold based on the usage of Qtel’s services over the past 12 months. Nojoom customers need to be residents with a valid Qatari ID. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=294148&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
