As part of its ongoing work in the community, Qtel has presented Al Rayyan Al-Jadeed Independent Secondary School for Girls with a new set of computers, loaded with the latest educational software. Qtel’s community relations team represented by Fatma al-Khater and Qtel’s Public Relations Officer Aisha al-Mohannadi, presented the gift of 20 computers to the school in a special ceremony. The computers will enable the students to access a huge range of educational resources on a wide range of subjects. Al Rayyan Al-Jadeed Independent Secondary School Licence Owner Alia Said al-Mahshadi said: “We are very grateful for Qtel’s generous donation of the 20 computers, which will add significantly to our educational resources. Around the world, more and more women are taking pioneering steps in the fields of social media and the development of new technology and we want Qatar to be at the forefront of this development.” Qtel supports a range of educational projects designed to fuel a sense of excitement in young people about the power and potential of ICT. Initiatives include regular school visits, hosted tours of Qtel facilities and a number of special research projects.
