Qtel opens office in Singapore

At the conclusion of the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s visit to Singapore, Qatar Telecom (Qtel) yesterday launched a new office in the country in the context of the company’s efforts to expand its presence in Southeast Asia and enhance the level of support to its branches in the region. A ceremony was held on this occasion, attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance, H E Yousuf Hussein Kamal, Qtel Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohamed bin Saud Al Thani, Qatar’s Ambassador to Singapore, Rashid Ali Al Khater and a number of Singaporean officials. The new office will be responsible for providing administrative support to Qtel’s branches. The management team will be responsible for finding the possibilities of knowledge exchange, standardising the work of the companies that represent the Qtel family in the region, and developing opportunities. Qtel aims to be among the top 20 telecommunication companies in the world by 2020.
