Qtel has extended its “Stop the Clock” international promotion until April 6. This offer allows customers to pay for five minutes of international talk time and receive an extra 10 international minutes for free. With the offer now being extended, Qtel Shahry customers can continue to make international calls at discounted rates to more than 40 countries across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas. For every five minutes of charged calling, customers receive up to 10 minutes free. This means that for every 15 minutes of international calling, Shahry customers only pay for five minutes. The charged portion of “Stop the Clock” calls is made at the corresponding peak (7 am to 7 pm) and off-peak (7 pm to 7 am) rates. For example, a 15 minute call during the off-peak period to GCC countries will cost only QR6.50. For all other countries, a 15-minute call at off-peak time costs QR 9, which equals a per-minute rate of QR0.60. Stop the Clock applies to Shahry Standard and Shahry Value Packs services. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=March2010&file=Local_News2010031832718.xml
