Mohammed Al Kaabi could not have dreamed of a better wedding gift than a BMW650i Convertible. His father Nasser Abdulla Al Kaabi, lucky winner of the Qtel Roam and Win promotion, immediately signed over the car to his 21-year-old son as a wedding gift.
"I'm very happy to win this car from this Qtel promotion," said Abdulla Al Kaabi. "I used my phone a lot over the summer to stay in touch with family and business colleagues, and it's fantastic to receive such a luxurious prize as a result," he said handing over the car to his son at the venue.
Al Kaabi's son was very happy to receive the high-end performance car which offers quality, luxury and advanced technology. "I am really grateful to Qtel, who launched this promotion making way for us to win this marvellous car," Mohammed told The Peninsula. "I am absolutely thrilled. I am now going to enjoy driving it."
Keys to the BMW were presented by Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Group Communications, Qtel. "This is the first time that Qtel is offering a big prize," Al Mutawa said. "Around 150,000 people were included in this draw and each time they crossed QR 100 during roaming, their chances to win increased."
Qtel will be offering more promotions "This promotion was part of a series of activities designed to provide a range of new services and opportunities for Qtel customers. We will be launching more promotions through out the year." he told The Peninsula.
One of the most innovative aspects of Qtel's summer-long campaign of promotions, customers who used their mobile phone while travelling outside Qatar could enter the Roam and Win promotional draw.
Customers qualified to enter the draw with every QR100 spent on calls and SMS while roaming. The promotion raised significant interest during Qtel's busy summer calendar, which included special reductions on late night calls, international calls to India, and reduced rates for ADSL and Mosaic TV+ services
The telecommunication company has been introducing many new services and promotions considering the customer needs. "The company has its own strategy. It has been shifting to a consumer oriented services since 2003. Our customers are satisfied with the services. New promotions are added based on market researches," said Al Mutawa.
