A joint high-profile delegation from Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has visited Bangladesh to review humanitarian operations for the Rohingya refugees and hand over newly built shelters to refugee camp inhabitants and visited Bangladesh Red Crescent Society primary health care complex.
The delegation also met with some of these refugees and visited the Primary Health Care Center of QRCS, funded by Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The visit concluded with a quick tour at QRCS's clinic at Camp No. 4 funded by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), the clinic serves both the Rohingya refugees and the host community.
The three partners commended the tripartite humanitarian cooperation in the best interest of the Rohingya refugees, which culminated in this first-of-its-kind project, under the name "Friendship Village".
QRCS was represented by Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General, and Dr. Faouzi Oussedik, Head of International Relations. KRCS's delegation was headed by the organizations President, Dr. Hilal Mussaed Al Sayer.
