QRCS, Jordan Red Crescent provide relief to 250 families

Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) in cooperation with Jordan National Red Crescent Society, with the support of Qatar Airways, provided charitable aid to 250 Syrian and Jordanian needy families in the Ashrafieh area in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Head of QRCS Mission in Jordan Nihal Hefni said that the distributed-aid was part of the Warm Winter Campaign carried out by QRCS, in cooperation with its humanitarian partners, to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian refugees and their host communities, by providing all forms of aid and assistance to them in light of the cold climatic conditions that Jordan is currently witnessing. She explained that they distributed food parcels and heaters to 250 families.

Head of QRCS Mission in Jordan praised the role of Qatar Airways, which has always provided generous support and is one of the largest supporters of QRCS and its humanitarian work for the benefit of the needy everywhere, based on the airline's belief in the principle of corporate social responsibility, and its noble orientation to support civil society organizations concerned with humanitarian and social affairs.

The families benefiting from aid hailed QRCS's role in implementing this charitable campaign, which reflects the meanings of solidarity and cooperation, meeting the needs of needy families and introducing joy in the hearts of children and women during the winter months.

Country Manager of Jordan at Qatar Airways Samer Khalaf stressed the importance of the cooperation with QRCS to implement this humanitarian campaign, explaining that Qatar Airways attaches great importance to its social responsibility program. He expressed the keenness of Qatar Airways to contribute to support the needy families and provide them with assistance, through the distribution of food parcels and heaters, in cooperation with QRCS, which is sparing no effort to help the needy in various parts of the world.
