Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has announced the opening of registration for volunteers and members of the community of both genders wishing to participate in the 8th disaster management camp, which will be held from October 23 through November 1, at the scout marine camp in Al Khor.

QRCS said that it seeks to attract youth cadres of citizens and residents aged between 18 and 40 as part of its efforts to educate the public about its mission and principles, and the value of charitable and voluntary work. It noted the importance of the camp in acquiring the skills of disaster preparedness and dealing with emergencies and accidents, whether occurring for themselves or others.

QRSC called on Qatari and non-Qatari youth wishing to participate to register in the camp as trainees through QRCS official website: https://app.qrcs.org.qa/volunt...

The camp covers several areas, including many specialised topics in disaster response, such as assessment and field co-ordination, shelter and registration, water and sanitation, nutrition and distribution, and familiarise participants with contingency planning and leadership in humanitarian work and global concepts such as Sphere project as well as restoring family ties.
