Relief efforts are being made in coordination with International Committee of the Red Cross; Philippine Red Cross; Somali Red Crescent and other organisations in both disaster-hit countries.
The month-long campaign which started on Tuesday will focus on providing support to take steps to rush aid to victims of natural disasters in both countries.
Relief will include food, non-food items, potable water, shelter, blankets, mattresses, and tarpaulin sheets.
QRC will also provide supplies and tools to repair partially-damaged homes of 1,000 families and temporary shelters for 500 families whose homes were completely destroyed.
The families will receive a month’s supply of food and essential non-food items.
Qatar Red Crescent, Sheikh Eid Charity, RAF Foundation, and Al Asmakh Charity are receiving donations.
