Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent have started implementing the emergency plans drawn up for the welfare of the workers and fishermen of the Gaza Strip with the help of the QR10mn Ramadan donation made by HH the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. Qatar Charity (QC) vice chairman Abdullah bin Hussein al-Nimah said that his organisation and the Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) were chosen to implement the projects which were meant to alleviate the sufferings of Gazans, particularly during Ramadan. He explained QC and QRC are in a better position to carry out the job because of their relations with international organisations such as the United Nations and the International Red Cross.
