Qatar Petroleum (QP) announced that the specifications of the automobile gasoline sold at petrol stations across Qatar will be amended as of June 1.
Under the new specifications, ‘Super’ and ‘Premium’ gasoline grades will now become 95 octane (from 97) and 91 octane (from 90), respectively.
The new specifications are consistent with international standard specifications in effect in the GCC countries and most of the world.
QP has assured users that ‘Super’ 95 octane and ‘Premium’ 91 octane gasoline are high quality fuel grades that suit all gasoline-driven cars in Qatar, and recommended that drivers continue to use ‘Super’ and ‘Premium’ gasoline as usual. (Source / Image)
