QNB joined the citizens and residents of Qatar in celebrating National Day on December 18. The bank’s management conveyed its warmest greetings and best wishes to HH the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, wishing Qatar and its people lasting progress and prosperity. The National Day emphasises the identity and history of Qatar embodied by the ideals and visionary aspirations that this country was founded on. The National Day is also a tribute to Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani al-Thani, who through his wise leadership laid the foundations for the modern State of Qatar. Sheikh Jassim had a deep understanding of humanitarian values and a solid conviction of the need to uphold justice, knowledge and learning; values that define the unique personality of Qataris today. Celebrating The National Day, QNB installed commemorative lights on its main branch on the Doha Corniche. Qatari flags were displayed in the bank’s offices and branches, and QNB and its Islamic branch staff all wore National Day Brooches distributed by the Organising Committee. Congratulatory messages were also displayed on the bank’s website, ATMs, and an SMS message was sent to all QNB customers. Business Reporter
