Qatar Meteorology Department has reported that according to weather charts, the country will be affected by fresh to strong Northwesterly winds from Wednesday night to Friday (January 20 - 22).
Wind speeds will range between 15 to 25 KT gusting to 35 KT at times in some areas which leads to blowing dust and low visibility to less than 2 KM in some areas with dusty weather sometimes especially on Thursday.
The expected wave height ranges between 7-11 FT rises to 14 FT in some areas where wind gusts exceed 40 KT in some areas sometimes offshore wind speed gradually decreases from Friday evening inshore.
The marine warning continues until Saturday, January 23, with a noticeable drop in temperatures where the maximum ranges between 18 to 24 ° C and the minimum between 8 to 16°C and reaches less than that especially in the southern and external regions, while the apparent temperatures are less than that.
Qatar Meteorological Department calls on everyone to be careful and to avoid all marine activities during the warning period as well as to follow up the latest updates through its official accounts.
