Qatar Foundation Radio has launched its mobile application for iPhone and iPod devices. The newly introduced application, which can be downloaded free through Apple’s App Store, will allow users to listen to the live streams of all QF radio programmes along with other on-demand content including a gallery of the events covered by the radio and the radio programming list. It will also allow users to interact with the radio programmes and presenters via social media including Facebook and Twitter without having to go through QF Radio website. QF Radio Media Center manager Saad al-Hudaifi said the application aimed to make its audience closer to what is going on as well as to give a voice to them, especially in its live stream shows. “We are very pleased to introduce this new application to our widening audience. It comes as part of delivering what was promised by QF radio to its listeners. It was a successful launch since everyone in our team realised how much demand there was to make the QF radio streams available on smart devices like the iPhone and iPod,” said al-Hudaifi. Last month, QF Radio unveiled new live programming which included more interactive elements to encourage listeners to phone in to shows. Gulf Times
