Qatar's wise leadership to participate in the three sessions of the Makkah summit with a delegation chaired by His Excellency (H.E.) Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani confirms Qatar's commitment to pursuing the interests of the region's people and its stability.

Qatar has always been an active member of the Arab, Islamic, and international fronts, avoiding the involvement of people in political disputes and always prioritising the interests of the region above any other matter.

The participation of Qatar was a well-measured move that seeks to realise the interests of the region's peoples, especially in times when delicate and difficult developments face the region. This participation is in line with the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Lolwa Al Khatra, and the wisdom and responsibility required in dealing with these regional developments. Qatar will always remain committed to joint Arab work.

Qatar's participation puts to rest the false claims made by the blockading countries, whether the ones related to supporting terrorism or dividing Arab countries. They noted that these claims failed to resonate ever since they were first made. Qatar dealt wisely with the GCC crisis and remained true to its principles and its priority of maintaining the unity of the GCC and it isn't right that a difference in views on some regional issues could end up paralysing an important regional bloc such as the GCC.

Also, Qatar's participation in the three Makkah summits with a delegation chaired by H.E. the Prime Minister was the biggest proof of the country's commitment to joint GCC, Arab, and Islamic work, and proof of the leadership's wisdom as it prioritised the interests of the region's people over any other issue. The three summits confirm that dialogue between leaders is the only way to resolve issues and face challenges, adding that it was unreasonable for the Arab world to remain hostage to side issues that end up draining all resources.

Qatar has always been an active participant in any GCC, Arab, or Islamic meetings, especially as the challenges facing the region are many and require enhancing dialogue and cooperation to maintain regional stability. (QNA, Al Arab, Al Sharq and Al Rayah)
