A report by the Tribune News Network revealed recently that the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has succeeded in providing jobs to 3,777 citizens in 2018 as part of the Qatarisation of jobs plan, according to a source.

While 3,255 citizens got government jobs, 522 got employment in the joint sector. A total of 1,209 men and 2,568 women got jobs.

Intensifying its efforts to provide more jobs to citizens, the ministry has got in touch with various government agencies to launch a new list of jobs after the Eid Al Fitr holidays. The ministry is seeking to launch a new list offering suitable jobs for a large number of citizens with a view to completely eliminate the waiting list.

As part of the Qatarisation plan, the source said, the ministry continues to follow up with various government agencies to monitor vacancies in each ministry and government entities for filling them with citizens seeking jobs.

A circular has been sent to all government agencies subject to the Law of Human Resources so that no vacancy is advertised in any media before consulting MADLSA.
In case of absence of Qatari job seekers, the ministry or the governmental body will be informed about it and the vacancies will be filled with children of Qatari women.
