In a Tweet, 12 Squadron, a joint RAF/Qatari Emiri Air Force unit, has announced that Qatari pilot Capt Al-Khulifi was one of its three pilots who flew in the ‘70’ formation for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee flypast on 2 June 2022.
Three of our pilots flew in the ‘70’ formation over Buckingham Palace today for the Queen’s #PlatinumJubilee flypast, including Qatari pilot Capt Al-Khulifi.

12 Squadron said "three of our pilots flew in the ‘70’ formation over Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee flypast, including Qatari pilot Capt Al-Khulifi".
Capt Al-Khulifi said “after training with them for the past two years, it’s a pleasure to fly alongside my RAF colleagues today”.
