A Qatari lady who has perfected the art of combining the right type of condiments in the right quantities is on the verge of becoming an international celebrity, says a report published in a local Arabic daily. Sheikha al-Fadil set out initially in 2002 on a small scale by preparing tasty pickles and condiments that are popularly used in the Gulf cuisine. She had a limited but steady success in the beginning. However with perseverance and ingenuity she has now to her credit a range of products including 30 varieties of condiment mixtures and pickles, three types of coffee and 12 dairy products besides perfumes. She is now the proud manager of a small-scale industry. Her products are now widely sold in all the hypermarkets in Qatar. Sheikha al-Fadil has been spotted by an Italian entrepreneur who happened to be in town during the ‘Made in Qatar’ exhibition.
