Investors from Qatar have proposed a rescue bid for the financially-troubled Olympic village. Qatari ministers have held talks with government officials about an investment in the £900mn village project which is facing a cash crisis in the economic slowdown. How many know the tallest building in Europe (The Shard) is 80% owned by Qatari companies. How many know that Qatar bought the Chelsea Barracks. How many know that 35% of Dubai investments are funded by Qatar. How many know that 30% of developments in Bahrain are Qatari owned? Qatar doesn't seem to want to have proper promotions
