The latest edition of International Furniture Design Exhibition and Awards (INFDEX) will host the region’s top award for young designers-the INFDEX Best Young Designer Award sponsored by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company.
The perfect platform to showcase the Middle East’s best young design talent, the INFDEX 2010 Best Young Designer Award is open to all school and university designers and will once again be decided by an international judging panel headed by Lebanese interior design guru Aziz Rebeiz.
“By offering the Best Young Designer Award for the third year, INFDEX is continuing to invest in young design talent who will take the regional design industry to new levels,” said Qatar Expo CEO Karim Zarka.
INFDEX 2010 organiser Qatar Expo said that entries must be submitted before October 20 after which the awards jury will select the list of finalists to be announced on November 1.
Presentation of finalists’ designs for the review of judges will take place at Doha Exhibition Center on November 10, the opening day of INFDEX 2010.
Winning designs in both categories will be selected on November 11 before the winners are revealed and their entries put on display during the Awards Ceremony at the INFDEX Gala Dinner taking place at W Doha Hotel & Residences next day.
