Qatargas backs tennis event QATARGAS has officially handed over a cheque to Qatar Tennis Federation which will grant the LNG major the official bronze sponsorship of the Sony Ericsson Championships Doha 2008, organised by QTF. The cheque was handed over to QTF president AbdulRahman Saad al-Shathri by Qatargas public relations manager Abdulla Hijji. Ghanim al-Kuwari, Qatargas chief operating officer (administration) said: “We are glad to be part of such a prestigious championship. Supporting such events is in line with our corporate citizenship. Qatargas has partnered Qatar Tennis Federation during many major events over the past years and we will continue our support in promoting sporting and other social events in Qatar.” Sony Ericsson Champion-ships Doha 2008, featuring top players, will be held from November 4 to 9.
