The State of Qatar on Saturday won two awards in a competition for youth media. The results were announced today during the first GCC Youth Media Forum. The participating Qatari delegation received two awards from the "The Poster" category. Mohammed Al Mas Al Swaidi received the awards for coming first and in third place for his two works "Tasmo" and "Torab Qatar". The forum concluded with a number of recommendations which included forming an association for young journalists in the GCC. They also recommended that the association should be under the supervision of the Youth Committee in the General Secretariat of the GCC. The forum also called on forming its own page online particularly on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
