Secretary of NCTS Brigadier Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al Maliki received the award which was handed by CIHT President Matthew Lugg.
Qatar's eligibility of this award comes in the light of its success in applying global standards and a scientific understanding of the requirements for reducing the traffic problems identified by the United Nations as a disaster that threatens modern societies.
Commenting on the occasion, Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Maliki said that the CIHT awards are covering 15 categories, including, among others, international projects, health & safety, training, roads, transportation and planning.
