In a tweet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the State of Qatar welcomed the United Nation's announcement on extending the truce in Yemen for two months.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, in a statement today, the State of Qatar's hope that extending the truce could pave the way for a peaceful resolution to the Yemeni crisis and realize the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, peace, and development.

The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's appreciation for the United Nation's ongoing efforts to establish sustainable peace in Yemen. The statement also renewed the State of Qatar's call for resolving the Yemeni crisis in line with the GCC initiative and UN Security Council resolutions, especially resolution no. 2216.
