The Forty-eighth Gulf Cultural Committee of the General Secretariat of the GCC met yesterday with the participation of a delegation from the State of Qatar headed by the Director of Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports Hamad Mohammed Al Zakiba.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Mohammad bin Redha, observer of foreign cultural relations at National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) in Kuwait, said that during the meeting of the GCC cultural committee, participants discussed many Gulf cultural topics, activities and events that would enhance cultural cooperation between Member States.
He pointed out that many items were discussed, including the adoption of the organizational structure of the Center for Translation and Arabization in the Sultanate of Oman, the interest in the Arabic language and the cultural activities plan for the years 2020-2021.
He added that the meeting touched on some of the recommendations issued by the Committee for the formulation of the new cultural strategy, which was held on Thursday and Friday in Kuwait. (QNA)
