Qatar Statistics Authority released its monthly preliminary figures on population as of 31 May, 2012 These data represents the number of persons all ages (Qataris and Non-Qataris) within the boundaries of the State of Qatar as on 31/5/2012. it does not include: o Qatari nationals who were outside the State boundaries on 31/5/2012 o Non-Qataris with residency permits who were outside the state's boundaries on 31/5/2012. Total Population within the State of Qatar: 1,795,828 persons Males: 1,330,581 Females: 465,247 The percentage of the population (young people) in the age group( 15-24) reached 15 % of the total population .
