The first of its kind, the Qatar Social, hosted by ILoveQatar.net is the talk of the town! This special event will be a gathering of content creators, influencers, bloggers, vloggers, YouTubers, Twitterati, Instagrammers, and Snapchatters. It’s a great opportunity to bring together local community sites under one roof!
The aim of the event is to put ‘social’ back in social media! We want to encourage local content creators, influencers, and personalities in Qatar to create, collaborate, and connect.
A super exciting program has been lined up, which will include a comedy act from Hamad Al Amari that’s bound to make you ‘laugh out loud,’ and panel discussions with local and international content creators, media organizations, and other guest speakers.
The core themes of these panels will be ‘Old and New Media in the GCC Dispute’ and ‘The Future of Content in Qatar.’ There will be presentations from local digital media startups, and a special premiere of a trailer for a new Qatari sci-fi television series called ‘Medinah.’
“Now more than ever we need to unite as a community and use our collective voice through the power of social media to uplift and remind one another that we’re stronger together,” said ILoveQatar.net’s Founder & CEO Khalifa Saleh Al Haroon. “Our shared commonalities and bonds as Khaleeji brothers and sisters are the source of this strength and should not be forgotten during this time, when we need it most in light of regional events. It’s our goal that Qatar Social will act as a reminder of this, and aid in facilitating dialogue.”
In addition to the program, there will be special giveaways, hangout sessions, and most importantly, food!
The Qatar Social is a pre-registered, invite-only event.
