According to the 2019 Best Countries ranking, Qatar is the world’s no.1 country to start a career. It has moved up seven positions to claim the top most spot in the ranking, while Turkey takes the no. 2 spot, reported Qatar Tribune.

Almost a quarter of the country’s populations is made up of young professionals under the age of 25, and this gives them a great opportunity to progress within the country’s prospering economy, said the 2019 Best Countries ranking report, which is formed by partnering with the BAV Group, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a division of the global marketing communications organisation VMLY&R. The Best Countries to Start a Career rankings are part of the 2019 Best Countries ranking. They are based on the results of a survey conducted with more than 20,000 global citizens from four different regions to assess the perceptions of 80 countries on 75 different metrics and are based on the scores compiled on seven equally weighted country attributes: a good job market, economically stable, entrepreneurial, income equality, innovative, a place I would live and progressive. Nearly 7,000 adults under age 35 filled out these surveys.

According to the ranking report and the World Bank, The world’s labour force has increased by approximately 200 million people over the last five years and many of this force is made up of young adults who are less than 35 years of age.
