Qatar records 884,801 public park visitors and 48,573 public beach goers during World Cup

Qatar public parks 884801 visitors 48573 beach goers world cup

The Ministry of Municipality (Al Baladiya) has released weekly statistics of Qatar's Municipalities during the World Cup, where it recorded public parks and beaches attracting thousands of visitors.

First week statistics

The first week of the mega-tournament witnessed a total of 4,576 beach visitors and 197,987 park visitors.

Second week statistics

In the second week of the tournament, the number of visitors increased to 202,149 park visitors and 16,464 beachgoers.

Al Wakrah witnessed a peak number of beachgoers during the second week, with 13,499 visitors.

Third week statistics

The number of park visitors continued to soar in the third week, reaching the highest number of recorded visitors during the World Cup at 247,121. Beachgoers, on the other hand, decreased to 10,083.

Al Rayyan Municipality reached a peak number of park visitors of 172,500 during the third week.

Fourth week statistics

The last week of the World Cup saw a slight decrease in park visitors at 237,544 but witnessed the highest number of recorded beach visitors at 17,450.

This brings the total number of park visitors to 884,801 and 48,573 beachgoers throughout the 4-week tournament. Al Rayyan Municipality witnessed the most park visitors at a total of 615,732. Al Wakrah had the most number of beach visitors at 35,335.
