Qatar Production Company Wins Gold at New York Film and Television Awards Resolution Productions received a Gold World Medal at the prestigious New York Film and Television Awards tonight, the first time such an honour has gone to a Qatar company. The Gold Medal was presented to Resolution’s Managing Director Kirby Kearns at a glittering ceremony in Las Vegas which was also attended by giants of the industry, Disney, ESPN and BBC. “To be nominated for this award and to share the stage with such industry heavyweights was in itself a great honour, but to be taking the gold back to Qatar is an incredible achievement and one that we will remember for a long time to come” said a thrilled Mr. Kearns. The winning film “Be Amusing” had already received several international awards, including the coveted Black Dolphin trophy in the Best Editing category at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. “It is not just a testament to the editing skills and storytelling prowess of our editor Craig Chaplin, but to all those from Resolution who worked so hard to make this film such a success,” added Mr. Kearns. - ILQ News -
