Singapore, August 12 Qatar participated in activities of the International Conference on Electronic proceedings which concluded in Singapore and lasted for two days. President of the Supreme Judicial Council massoud Mohamed Al-Amri Headed Qatar's delegation to the conference. Al-Amri attended the conference at the invitation of the president of the Supreme Court in Singapore. The aforesaid conference falls among international activities specialized in advanced and modern electronic procedures in proceedings in which Singaporean Supreme Court took the lead among other countries. A memo for judicial cooperation was signed between Qatar's Supreme Judicial Council and Singaporean Supreme Court in 2009 and stipulated for enhancing ties of cooperation and coordination between the two sides in training fields and rehabilitation of judges and exchange of expertise in alternative means for settling disputes in addition to speeding up the litigation procedures in courts. http://www.qnaol.net/QNAEn/Local_News/Misc/Pages/QatarParticipatesintheInternational12082011.aspx
