Qatar will take part in the 108th Session of the International Labour Conference, which is currently being held in the Swiss capital, Geneva, with a delegation headed by His Excellency Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Yousef bin Mohamed Al Othman Fakhroo.
H.E. Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs participated in the coordination meeting of the GCC Labour Ministers to coordinate the topics on the agenda of the conference. On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency met with a number of ministers of the participating countries to enhance cooperation and joint relations. The Qatari delegation also participated in the international forum of solidarity with the workers and people of Palestine.
The conference, which includes representatives of the ministry, employers and workers, and which will continue during the period 10 - 21 June, will include a number of committees to discuss international conventions and standards and the countries commitment to these conventions, in addition to discussing a draft convention against violence and harassment and the draft declaration of the 100 years celebration of the organisation.
