The Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030 has been in development since 2008. It aims to transform Qatar into a developed country capable of achieving sustainable development and securing a decent life for its current and future generations 12 years from now.
For more than 20 years, oil revenues have been invested optimally in the areas of education, health, infrastructures, and much more.
After highlighting the achievements and lessons learned from the First National Development Strategy (NDS1), the Second National Development Strategy (NDS2) has been developed, starting with the economic outlook of the State until 2022.
And since Qatar still has a long way to go after hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the QNV 2030 concept was thought of and is now the State's main bird's eye view for what's in stored in the next decade to come.
It will focus on infrastructure development in all sectors, economic diversification, and private sector development. It also seeks to optimise the use and sustainability of natural resources, and support emerging enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

This one on the other hand concentrates on a world-class education system, healthcare system, and an efficient and committed workforce that achieves a competitive labour market that enables Qatar's population to participate in development.

Geared towards the development of environmental programmes in line with global agenda for future generations, this QNV pillar will provide a safe environment for society members, culture enrichment and sports excellence for cultural, athletic, youthful, active and creative that supports society, and create international partnerships for the development.

Lastly, the development of environmental programmes is in line with global agenda for future generations in terms of water and sanitation services, desalination, and non-alternative energy as another source of electrical energy.
