Qatar National Day 2021: Parade in the morning, fireworks at Corniche after Arab Cup final

The Qatar National Day parade at Corniche on Saturday, December 18, will start in the morning at 9 am, and entry for the public is by invitation only like last year.

The Security Committee for National Day Celebrations held today a press conference in which it explained the organizational procedures and the security plan for the National Day parade on Doha Corniche and the National Day celebration activities on Saturday morning, December 18, 2021.

Brigadier Dr Ali Khajim Al Athbi, Director of the Facilities and Authorities Security Department, said that attendance will be through invitations via barcode, as happened during the last celebration.

He called on the invitees to adhere to the specified paths so that there would not be any delays, stressing that the Corniche is open to invitees until 7:30 am and the paths will be closed after that and entry will not be allowed.

Two places are earmarked for the public, with northern platforms accommodating 6,557 people and southern platforms accommodating 2,706 people, bringing the total number of public invited to the event to about 9,586 people.

There will be fireworks on the Doha Corniche in the evening and its timing will coincide with the end of the Arab Cup final.
