Qatar Museums said that its museums, libraries, restaurants, and outdoor spaces will open starting Friday, 28 May 2021, with precautionary measures in place.
Museums, libraries, and restaurants will reopen at 30 percent capacity. The open air areas of markets, parks, and playgrounds will operate at a 30 percent capacity, including Fridays and Saturdays, with no entry permitted for children under 12 years of age. As for the indoor areas of parks, and playgrounds, they will operate at a 20 percent capacity only for individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccination.
Cafes and gift shops are open. Social distancing measures will be enforced. Cash and card payment options will be available. Qatar Museums also said that, in accordance with the measures listed above, Jiwan restaurant, located at the National Museum of Qatar, will be open with limited capacity for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.
There will be temperature checks will be done on arrival, visitors must also present their Ehteraz app (and must have a green status) for entry and wear masks at all time. Museum staff will regulate the number of visitors in the museum and gallery spaces. Visitors must also maintain social distancing during their visit.
