Department of Meteorology warns of thundery rain, strong wind and poor visibility at some places

Weather inshore until 6 pm on Saturday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain may be thundery at places at times, Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of thundery rain associated with strong wind and poor visibility at places.

Offshore will be cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, thundery at places at times, the report added, warning of thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly to easterly 05 to 15 knot, gusting to 30 knot with thundery rain.

Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly 12 to 22 knot, gusting to 35 knot with thundery rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 8/2 kilometer or less during thunder rain.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 5 feet at times. Offshore it will be 3 to 7 feet rises to 12 feet with thundery rain.

Qatar Weather urges the public to avoid all marine activities due to unstable weather conditions.
