In this week’s episode of Mama Baba Ganoush, I welcome the awesome Swedish Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Mrs. Ewa Polano, for my homemade meal of Swedish treats with a Middle Eastern twist from one of the most iconic brands in the world – IKEA!
For this foodie feast I’ve used products available from the IKEA Qatar store such as classic salmon, waffles, and the world-famous IKEA food – meatballs! Did you know that IKEA’s salmon has met the Aquaculture Stewardship Council’s (ASC) global standards for responsibly farmed seafood?
I’ve thrown in a few Middle Eastern classics to show just how easy it is to whip up your own recipes at home. There’s pan-fried salmon with zaatar served with a mix of couscous, veggies, mint and parsley, plus smoked salmon waffles with labneh and dill and, finally, for the sweet tooth – mini-lemon muffins with pistachio and grated lemon rind. All are super easy to make and a great way to share your foodie love!
Food is a great way to bring people from all cultures, backgrounds, and nationalities together and with just a few simple tweaks you can create your own family favourites. Thank you to IKEA Qatar and the Swedish Ambassador to Qatar H.E. Mrs. Ewa Polano for joining me! Be sure to try the delicious range of IKEA Qatar food products for a truly international celebration of food!
