President of the Republic of Macedonia Dr Gjorge Ivanov conferred on the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the 8th of September Medal, the highest medal in the Republic in appreciation to his efforts for enhancing ties of cooperation between the two countries. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah. The Emir and the Macedonian President witnessed the signing ceremonies of a set of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries. The two sides signed a cooperation agreement in the cultural field, another on organising the use of Macedonian laborers in Qatar and a third one on encouragement and protection of mutual investments. A MoU in education was also signed.
