Qatar has officially invited the United Kingdom to attend the “third conference of signatories to the UN convention for combating corruption” to be held in Doha in November. The invitation was extended yesterday during a meeting held in London between HE the Attorney General Ali bin Futais al-Merri and the Attorney General for England and Wales Patricia Scotland. The two officials discussed an ambitious programme to exchange judicial experience between the countries, including the training of public prosecutors. The British official praised Qatar’s recent development, in particular in the judicial field. The attorney general said that November’s meeting will be an opportunity for all the ministers to join efforts to combat corruption. The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to the UK Khalid Rashed al-Mansouri. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=316347&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
