Organized by the Department of Agricultural Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality, the Honey Festival kicked off today (February 3) at Al Mazrouah Yard to sell the local agricultural product and will last for three days, with the participation of a number of Qatari farms and local companies specialized in honey production.
The three-day festival features participation by farms, local companies specialized in honey production and a number of Qatari farms. The aim of establishing the event is to market local honey products, support Qatari farms, and attract the public to take advantage of the products, vegetables, fruits, and others.
On this occasion, the Ministry invited the public to attend the festival Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 7 am to 5 pm at Al Mazrouah Yard in Umm Salal Central Market, especially since Qatari honey products of all kinds are distinguished in terms of shape, quality, and diversity.
The sales of the local agricultural product yards of honey in Al Mazroua, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Al Wakra, Al Shamal, and Al Sheehaniya during the month of January amounted to about 917 kilograms, and of local dates 764 kilograms and of fresh local vegetables about 2,814 tons.
